Unit 5 Project

Hello All,

We are beginning Unit 5 and we're kicking it off with a project.  The students have been given the opportunity to design their very own planet...BUT it has to be able to sustain human life.  We had a quick lecture and discussion over what humans need to survive on this planet or one that they create.  I have attached the notes, project information, and rubric for you to look at.  This is a project that they will create during class time only, but I wanted you to be aware and maybe help keep them on track because this will be our first major grade for the third six weeks.

They started yesterday and will have the rest of this week and Monday to complete the project.  They will present their planets to me and the rest of their class on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.  Please help me keep them on track and stress the importance of this major grade assignment.

I love, love the space unit!
